Launched in 2010, the Ajeej Opportunistic Fund is a higher concentration lower liquidity “esoteric” fund.
The AOF is registered and regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.
The AOF leverages the same research engine and investment process developed for the AMF; however, it applies a higher degree of concentration to portfolio construction. The AOF will typically have 8-10 companies in the entire portfolio, and as such does not have any concentration limits in terms of position, industry or geography.
Moreover, the AOF does not apply any liquidity constraints to its portfolio, has lower liquidity terms for investors relative to the Ajeej MENA Fund and is limited in size to take advantage of less liquid opportunities. Similar to the AMF this fund is also completely benchmark agnostic.
