Tarek Sakka

Co-Founder & Senior Partner, Group CEO

Tarek Sakka co-founded Ajeej Capital in 2007 and today serves as Chief Executive Officer. He divides his time equally between business development and investment, chairs the executive committee, and sits on all investment committees.

With more than two decades of experience in MENA and international markets, Tarek has built a reputation for conviction-led investing. At The Olayan Group, where he was Group Vice President, he managed a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of private investments across the region. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Private Equity at National Commercial Bank (now SNB), worked in infrastructure development with ENRON Capital in Houston, and began his career as a control engineer with Texaco in Delaware.

Tarek earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and his B.S. with Honors in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. He has held board positions with leading companies including Saudi Hollandi Bank, Saudi Swiss Securities, SEDCO Capital, Americana Group, and the Morgan Stanley Saudi Equity Fund.

Beyond work, Tarek is a passionate photographer, outdoorsman, and family man. He enjoys capturing life’s moments with his wife and three daughters, as well as sailing, skiing, horseback riding, and hiking
