Ajeej Opportunistic Fund

The Ajeej Opportunistic Fund (“AOF”), launched in 2009, was created to emulate what we envisioned as an ideal portfolio, one designed without the constraints often required to pitch to external investors. The portfolio was originally inspired by the way the founders constructed their own personal books. It is a highly concentrated strategy that invests in themes where management holds the highest conviction. These themes can range from a single name to a collection of names covering a broader story, provided they represent our highest conviction.

The portfolio aims to exploit highly attractive risk-return opportunities primarily in the markets of the broader MENA region. However, the fund is not explicitly limited to this geography and may invest outside the region as long as the investment thesis relates back to MENA.

The AOF continues the approach of the Ajeej MENA Fund, employing a fundamentally driven, bottom-up strategy that remains agnostic to the index.

Given the concentrated nature of the portfolio, the AOF is well-positioned to benefit from a "light activist" approach, engaging with its holdings to unlock further value.

The AOF is not bound by maximum or minimum limits on the number of names held; it maintains the flexibility to hold a single position depending on the specific opportunity management is investing behind.
